Fancy making a beautiful dress that fits you perfectly? With our Sew a Simple Dress Day workshop, you can do exactly that. Using the award-winning Tilly and the Buttons 'Lotta Dress' pattern, our experienced tutor will show you how to measure yourself and select the perfect pattern size. We will then guide you through the sewing pattern as you create your dress.
Either all in one day (10-4:30) or chunk it into two evenings, we will help you walk away with a beautiful new, me-made dress.
Who is this class for?
This class is for you if you have used a sewing machine before and completed some simple projects such as simple skirts or pyjama bottoms and you feel ready to take on a slightly more complex sewing pattern.
This class is not for you if:
You have never used a sewing machine before - we recommend completing one of our beginner's classes first.
What's included:
As well as all the tea you can drink, we will provide the sewing machines, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your projects as well as any interfacing, elastic that you will need. You will also receive your copy of the Tilly and The Button's Lotta dress pattern to keep to make again at home.
What do I need to bring:
You will need to bring the fabric that you need for your dress. You are free to bring this with you, or we have fabric for sale in the studio. After booking, we will send you an email outlining the type and amount of fabric required.
LUNCH: We will take a half an hour break for lunch, please bring a packed lunch.
This is not really enough time to pop to the shops to buy something, so please bring your lunch with you so that we can ensure you have enough time to complete all of the projects.
We have a fridge you can store your lunch in and a microwave should you need. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
PLEASE NOTE: After booking this class you will be sent two emails. This first will confirm your booking and the second will contain important information such as where to find us and the fabric requirements for the class. If you do not receive these please check your junk mail.
